A summit to discuss affordable housing and implication of the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Act (HRERA) in real estate sector in the state will be held on October 26 in Gurugram.
The National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco), a real estate industry group, is organizing the summit titled ‘Affordable Housing cum HRERA Summit – 2018’.
The objective of the summit is to be discuss various aspects of affordable housing for all, a plan outlined by the Central government with the target year of 2022, said a statement by the national real estate body.
Various players in the affordable housing sector and real estate companies based in Gurugram and across the country will participate in the summit.
As per the organizer, major issues that would be discussed include availability of loans at lower rates to developers, single window clearance for projects in a time-bound manner, and clarity on certain issues, such as external development charges (EDC) would be sought from the government.
The summit’s participants will also assess the impact of HRERA and if it is bringing order to the state’s real estate market. The summit will also review policies that have been implemented and executed to make real estate purchase easier, by infusing improved accountability and transparency.
Naredco president (Haryana) Praveen Jain said, “This one-day summit will examine the various financing options for developers and individuals. It will also review housing policies, promote capacity building of local governments, as well as explore urban planning and redevelopment initiatives that are being adopted across the state to meet demand for affordable housing.”
